Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Photos: Images you capture of items you want to remember
  • Product URLs: Links to products you save from websites
  • Item Details: Titles, prices, descriptions, and notes you add to saved items
  • Account Information: Email address and authentication data if you create an account
  • Settings: Your preferences such as hourly wage (for cost-in-hours feature) and notification preferences

Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers
  • Usage Data: App interactions, features used, items saved/skipped, and timestamps
  • Analytics: Aggregate statistics about app usage to improve our service
  • Push Notification Tokens: To send you reminders about saved items

Browser Extension Data

Our browser extension collects:

  • Product information (title, image, price, description) from web pages when you explicitly save an item
  • The URL of product pages you save
  • Extension settings and pairing codes for device sync

The extension does not track your browsing history, collect data from non-retail pages, or monitor your activity when you're not actively using the save feature.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Send you reminders about items you've saved
  • Sync your data across devices (if you opt in)
  • Calculate and display statistics about your savings and decisions
  • Improve and personalize your experience
  • Communicate with you about updates and features
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

Data Storage and Security

Local Storage (Free Tier)

For users without an account, all data is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data, and it is not backed up to our servers. If you delete the app or clear app data, this information will be permanently lost.

Cloud Storage (Pro/Account Users)

If you create an account or subscribe to our Pro tier, your data is securely stored in the cloud using Convex, enabling cross-device sync and backup. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest using industry-standard encryption.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Convex: Backend services and data storage
  • RevenueCat: Subscription and payment processing
  • Apple/Google: Push notifications and in-app purchases
  • Anthropic (Claude AI): Product identification and price extraction from images and web pages (Pro features only, with your explicit consent)
  • Analytics providers: To understand app usage patterns (anonymized data only)

These services have their own privacy policies governing their use of your information.

AI-Powered Features

With your explicit consent, certain Pro features use Anthropic's Claude AI to help identify products and extract prices:

  • What data is sent: Product photos you capture and/or HTML snippets from product web pages. No personal information, account details, or device identifiers are included in AI requests.
  • Who receives the data: Anthropic (anthropic.com), a third-party AI provider based in the United States.
  • How it is used: Solely to identify products, extract pricing, and return structured product information to you. Images and data are processed in real-time and are not stored by Anthropic after processing.
  • Your consent: AI features are disabled by default. You must explicitly grant consent through an in-app prompt before any data is sent. You can revoke consent at any time.

All AI processing requests are logged in an audit table for transparency and accountability.

Affiliate Links

When you decide to buy an item through our app, we may redirect you through affiliate links. This allows us to earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We do not share your personal information with retailers through these links—they only see that a purchase came from Still Got It.

Advertising

The free tier of our app may display advertisements. We work with advertising partners who may collect device identifiers to show relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data in the following circumstances:

  • With your consent: When you explicitly authorize sharing
  • Service providers: With trusted partners who help us operate the Service
  • Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights
  • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Locally-stored data persists until you delete it or uninstall the app. Cloud-synced data is retained until you delete your account, after which it is permanently removed within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Still Got It is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. These countries may have different data protection laws. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

European Privacy Rights (GDPR)
